HDV compression and 1080i may be a ways away from the cutting edge these days, but being able to archive to tape is invaluable, and good optics never go out of style.

We shoot using a Sony HDR-FX1. The HDR-FX1 was one of the first prosumer grade HDV video cameras and continues to provide outstanding picture quality as evidenced in "Sleepless" and "Channel Zero." We purchased the HDR-FX1 very early in its lifetime, when HD content hadn't become as commonplace, and the forward-thinking has proven invaluable.

Additionally, we have several sets of different lenses along with inexpensive but effective lapel, shotgun, and omnidirectional microphones.

We have our own photography-grade lights and gels.

We edit using a custom built PC and Adobe's CS5.5 suite.
